Ten Greyhounds lives change for the better these past weeks...

APFUG Helping the Hounds!

Tarzan--the Man--kept his name and moved to Fort Stockton!

At the end of the contest--40 days later--APFUG took in a 4-month old female puppy named Avery that was relinquished by a local hunter and had been adopted by a nice family in Abilene, TX. Sadly, her condition deteriorated and with serious, non-treatable neurological issues--Avery was euthanized and we are so sad about this development.

Brandy moved to Midland, was adopted, and renamed Ava.

Jim moved to ABQ and was adopted on December 30th.

On the day that the contest began--October 30th--Brittany moved to her forever home. She's pictured here with Mister Handsome--her new little buddy!

Greyhounds and volunteers at Lubbock Mall November 28 and December 5

It has been very hectic for APFUG with the daily voting and an increase in outreach events. The group did not win, place, or show in the community rewards contest--but a gallant effort kept us in the running! During the contest's duration of 40 days--10 Greyhounds either found homes or were placed into foster care. The group participated in three outreach events including two at the South Plains Mall, in Lubbock. The events generated lots of interest in the Greyhounds and we are looking forward to 2017 and finding more homes for hounds!

Layla was renamed Galina and moved to Santa Fe.

Cheyenne was adopted by a loving family in Clovis, NM.

Karma--a Whippet--was relinquished to the group and is in foster care. She is 6-years old and considered "special care" but doing well. We have her on a weight management program and will keep you posted!

Lulu was renamed Maddie and moved to Carlsbad, NM.
